Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting distributed systems with strong hands-on debugging skills
- Managing the relationship between the Platform Infrastructure team and the Information Security Team to address and resolve security issues related to the platform, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools
- Contributing to security best practices by promoting a shift-left approach and fostering a strong security culture within the DevOps/Platform Infrastructure team
- Developing and maintaining tools to support the development environment on macOS and Linux, with a focus on enhancing developer productivity
- Maintaining site reliability with a focus on building highly scalable systems integrating resiliency and high availability at all levels
- Developing software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure, building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows
- Designing and operating a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration
- Working with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging
Main requirements
- 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 4 years of AWS experience
- 8+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework
- 5+ years of experience with security best practices in AWS, including remediating SecurityHub findings
- 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools, including SAST tools, DAST tools, and SCA tools
- Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment strongly desired
- Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
- Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, and DynamoDB
- Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable/reusable code in Python, Ruby, or Java desired
- Experience with compute provisioning on a cloud-based platform using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
- Experience building a microservice-based architecture
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to design and implement complex but easily managed automated infrastructure
- Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge, teaching, and learning collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in system tuning and performance testing
